Week 1 of 21

I decided to start training for the Chicago Marathon this week. It was an easy week overall. I did my 10 mile run on Saturday and 20.4 miles for the week all together. There were a couple short days (today and monday, when i only did a mile and change), and a day off.

The long run was great. I feel much better trained this time around (compared to the last marathon) and only the 20 mile runs seem a bit daunting at this point.

New Shoes

One great thing about training for the marathon is that I get to buy more new running shoes. I ended up getting two pairs (MC Sports is doing a promition that made my $90 Wave Alchemy’s only $60). I love new running shoes.

Chicago Marathon

Well, I’ve given in and decided to run the Chicago Marathon in October. I’ve put together my long run schedule and moved it, and other info, to my new Marathon Training Page.

Easy Month

I needed to take it easy after March, so I didn’t run a lot in April. I was sick part of the time, and also generally uninspired. Anyway, here is the log. Hopefully I’ll feel better in May.
