I am an assistant professor at the University of Maryland. My work is described on my university website.

Running

I'm a distance runner. My favorite distance is the marathon (26.2 miles), but I run a lot of half marathons, too. Pictures and info about all of my races are online here.

House

When I'm not working or running, I'm doing stuff to my house. I blog about it every day, and have some general info online, too.

Other things I do

Designs - I design t-shirts and things and sell them at CafePress. It is great fun.

Feminism for Kids - here's the start of a list of feminist friendly children's books. Try to convert that Barbie-girl from the dark side.

Golden Retriever Rescue - I volunteer with our local rescue group, GRREAT.

I read a lot of fiction (in addition to all of the technical reading). Here's my current reading list.

I'm a vegetarian, and a member of the ASPCA.
